Salon International will return next year on the 10th, 11th and 12th October 2015, for three more days of stunning live shows, hundreds of top exhibitors and demonstrations of the latest products and services.

The HBSA has a long association with Salon International going back over 30 years and we are excited to be able to promote this year’s exhibition to members. All members who exhibit at the exhibition receive a 5% discount on their stand space and visitor tickets are available to members upon request.

Report from Salon International 2014
It’s been just over a month since Salon International 2014 closed its doors on what has been another successful outing for the UK’s biggest professional hairdressing exhibition, and we certainly hope you managed to take the time to come along and see what it had in store. If you made it on Saturday, you will have probably noticed that we had a vast international contingent in attendance, coming from all four corners of the globe, as well as a noticeable increase in our already sizeable numbers of Italian visitors. Sunday saw a massive audience of predominantly UK based hairdressing professionals continue to arrive in their droves, whilst Monday allowed us to welcome the future of hairdressing through our doors, with the arrival of hundreds of students, apprentices and juniors visiting us on the last day of our event.

Naturally, once inside the exhibition hall, the buzz and atmosphere around the many free live stages on offer is hard to mistake, but we were delighted by the reports of brisk business being undertaken on stands throughout the show, with many companies reporting record retail figures when compared to previous years. Here’s a selection of exhibitor testimonials which speak for themselves:

The TG Systems stand at the back of the hall was in an excellent location with a heavy footfall. The amount of quality leads we received showing interest in SuperSalon Software exceeded our expectations. The organisation was great and the staff were very helpful. During build up and breakdown we felt safe, secure and well looked after.

Everyone is really helpful. We had a cracking Saturday. Quality exhibitors which is noticeable. We have seen an increase in overseas visitors which is great for us.

Great show. Lots of new contracts and business leads. We have met lots of lovely people from both the UK and abroad. We will be back in 2015!

Salon International is one of the best hair shows in the world. We have been doing this show for 12 years. Coming from the USA and participating in this show is a testimony itself.

Our first experience of Salon International has been fantastic. If we convert even 10% of the contacts we have made, we could conceivably double the size of our business.

The Salon team are lovely – really friendly and helpful. We were delighted to have lots of returning customers, both from the UK and overseas. We had customers from as far afield as Canada, Australia, Israel, Hungary and Turkey. People were buying one or two products and then coming back for more. This year we brought more brushes to Salon than we sold last year and we still had to drive home to restock every night.

The show was indeed world class. We have so much work to do now following up 41 potential countries, hundreds of salons, plus a few UK distributors. We even had CV’s handed over. It really was a fantastic event. Thanks for all being so very well organised.

Being onsite is probably the most exhilarating time of the year for me and the rest of the team, as we wait and see what (if any) challenges will be thrown at us, and how exactly we, as well as the extended team of contractors and venue staff who support us behind the scenes, will deal with them. Some of you may well be aware that 2014 was one such year where we had no respite, but, as the saying goes, the show must go on, and go on it did, with minimal disruption caused. So, what next? We are all already plunging ourselves headlong into preparations for the 2015 event, which will see us taking up residence in the North Halls of the venue (for one year only to allow a helicopter exhibition access to the South Halls, where the lorry doors are larger) where the exhibition itself will continue to serve the professional hairdressing community at large. We look forward to seeing you there from 10th – 12th October 2015.
